Taziki’s Café Opens on King Street
Taziki’s Cafe recently opened a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant in downtown Charleston located at 306 King Street. Locally owned by restaurateurs Joe Norton, Ernie Masters and Doug Van Scoy, the partners offer a new spin on fresh, healthy lunch and dinner fare for under ten dollars.
“With the fast-paced scene in downtown Charleston, our mission was to create a healthy fast casual menu. None of our meats or ingredients are frozen or fried,” states Joe Norton. “Charleston is a supportive community that wants to eat healthy and support local farmers and suppliers.”
Keith and Amy Richards opened up the first Taziki’s Cafe in Birmingham, Alabama after traveling to the Mediterranean. Taziki’s Cafe of Charleston brings their same fresh interpretations of traditional Mediterranean grilled and roasted meats with original sauces and sides for both lunch and dinner. Guests can also enjoy a fine selection of wine and beer. The walls are decorated with actual photographs from the Richards’ trip abroad for guests to take in while they are enjoying the relaxing atmosphere or in need of a quick, healthy meal.

The restaurant offers an extensive catering menu and daily delivery. Guests can also enjoy daily specials that include savory dishes from fresh fish tacos to Taziki’s famous Friday Pasta Special which pairs cold penne pasta and grilled chicken with a balsamic vinaigrette over a bed of lettuce.
