Lend A Hand To Japan will take place at the SC Aquarium on Wednesday, April 6th to raise money to benefit the Japanese Association of Zoos & Aquariums and the American Red Cross. Brought to you through the support of numerous local organizations including Charleston City Paper, the South Carolina Aquarium, Stage Presence, Other Brother Entertainment, Tristan, Icebox Bar Service and Two Fish Enterprises, guests will celebrate the culture of Japan while raising money to help in their time of need. Restaurants throughout the Lowcountry will delight your taste buds with their spin on Japanese cuisine. Expect fun cocktails, a DJ and live bands. If you were planning on donating money to aid in Japan, now is our opportunity to come together as a community and make a difference. Enjoy an evening of musical entertainment, delicious and unique food and beverages, while surrounded by the beauty of the South Carolina Aquarium.

“Among the many casualties of the tragic earthquake and tsunami were several of Japan’s leading aquariums and zoos,” said Kevin Mills, South Carolina Aquarium President and CEO. “We are proud to host of this community effort that will in part aid our sister institutions in their recovery.”

Tickets are a minimum donation of $40 and everything is included. 100% of the ticket sales and silent auction will benefit The Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the Lowcountry Chapter of the American Red Cross. All participating organizations have generously donated their time, services and products to support this amazing evening!
