“We are fortunate to have additional sponsorship from Carolina One, Eskimo Advertising, State Farm, Lowcountry Women’s Specialists, Glaser Duncan, Rhino Shield, Piggly Wiggly, Innovative Theater and Sound, Pints for the People, The Raven Family, Jon and Hayley Carter, Beacon Communications, City Corridor, Johnson and Lanning CPAs and Waterstone Financial Services,” said My Sister’s House Executive Director Elmire Raven. “It is these and all donations that will provide services, programs and resources to empower victims of domestic violence and their children to live free from abuse.”
Founded in 1980, My Sister’s House is the only shelter-based program serving domestic violence victims in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. The money raised will be used in a variety of ways to continue to help women and children live violence-free by providing 24-hour crisis line and shelter, deposits on new safe apartments, children’s clothing for school, legal help, counseling and much more.
