Join Camp Happy Days and the James Island Vikings on Saturday, January 28th from 12pm to 6pm for the 7th Annual Bo Roast & Chili Cook-Off at the Smoky Oak Taproom on James Island. The event will include an Oyster Roast, Chili Cook-Off and Live Music featuring Hunter Ford, Mark Jackson, Eddie Bush and The Shakin’ Martinis. Award plaques will be given to best Individual/Team, Best Restaurant and People’s Choice. All proceeds will directly benefit Camp Happy Days.

Camp Happy Days is a local non-profit that provides year long services to South Carolina children battling cancer and their families by offering cost free programs and activities. Since 1982, over 1,500 children with cancer and their families have benefitted from the cost-free, year-round programs. From age-specific on-going programs, family counseling and financial assistance, “dream dates,” hospital visits, holiday giving and more, these offerings help relieve worries and strengthen family bonds. Developed with guidance from the medical community, these programs help improve the emotional, physical and psychological health of children and families affected by pediatric cancer. At Camp Happy Days, kids discover the power within them – as they share life-changing experiences with kids just like themselves who are battling cancer.
