Rock the Block Party Benefitting Hogs for the Cause

Benefiting HOGS FOR THE CAUSE, ROCK THE BLOCK is Home Team BBQ’s annual street party will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 126 Williman Street downtown.

Admission is FREE! Home Team BBQ will also kick it up a notch with the opportunity to donate while partying by purchasing tickets to their unique VIP Lounge. Adult tickets will include all-you-can-enjoy offerings from award-winning chefs Jason Stanhope (FIG), and David Bancroft (Acre, Bow and Arrow), Goat.Sheep.Cow., with desserts from Shannon Yelmini (Kiawah Island Golf Resorts) and drinks from Jayce McConnell (Edmund’s Oast). Yes, an open bar…but please party responsibly!

Drifter Fest: The Inaugural Bert Griggs Memorial Jam will be held on March 6th-8th. The event will celebrate the life of Bert Griggs after he died unexpectedly in December. Enjoy a weekend of fun events combined with great company, stories and live music.

FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH:

Drifter Fest: Pre-Jam at Home Team BBQ Downtown (126 Williman Street) from 8pm-11pm with live music featuring our friends SHONUFF.

SATURDAY, MARCH 7TH
Doors for the Drifter Fest: The Inaugural Bert Griggs Memorial Jam open at 8pm at the Charleston Pour House (1977 Maybank Hwy.). Inside the venue from 8:30pm-1am, guests will enjoy a collaboration of Bert’s favorite tunes from many of his friends including Reid Stone and bands Gaslight Street, The Travelin’ Kine, SHONUFF, Solid Country Gold and more.

SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH:
We’ll be vending Drifter Merch at Reckoning in the Park featuring The Reckoning, an awesome Grateful Dead cover band from 2pm-5pm in the meadow at James Island County Park.

Drifter Merch will be available for sale on Saturday and Sunday as well as the awesome event poster created by TRiPPs Prints and Bert’s portrait by artist Jason Moore.

The Haraway Brothers (of The Sundogs) Live in Charleston

This weekend, Aug. 11-12, The Haraway Brothers will make Charleston’s Home Team BBQ their home, playing on Sullivan’s Island on Friday night and Downtown on Saturday. Lee & Will Haraway, founders of The Sundogs, are celebrating their debut record together, titled “The Haraway Brothers Wish You Love & Luck in the World”, which you can listen to on iTunes, Spotify and right here .

Friday Night’s show starts at 10 PM on Sullivan’s Island with $5 cover, while Saturday starts at 7 PM on the outdoor stage at HTBBQ downtown and is free. Come listen to every song from you new favorite album plus some Sundogs tunes and other fun choice covers.

Released on May 5, The Haraway Brothers’ Wish You Love & Luck in the World is exactly what the title describes, a sincere wish and a shot of good, positive vibes for everyone that lets music into their ears and hearts. 5th Annual Gimme Shelter

Operation Home has rescheduled the 5th Annual Gimme Shelter event on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 7:00–10:00 p.m at The Alley downtown. 131 Columbus Street. The always fun party will feature a silent auction and the opportunity to win a 2015 Scout 177 Sport Yamaha 70 and Trailer Boat, valued at $30,000. In addition to bowling and arcade games, New Orleans’ based New Breed Brass Band will also be entertaining the crowd with their funk, rock, jazz, and hip-hop repertoire.
