On Sunday, March 22nd, the 6th Annual Charleston Bed Race will be held at its new venue, Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island. This annual event brings the Charleston community together to raise money for childhood cancer through the non-profit organization, Camp Happy Days. Camp Happy Days hosts a summer camp and other life-changing programs throughout the year for children in South Carolina battling cancer.
The Bed Race will begin with a parade of decorated beds at 1:00pm at Blackbaud Stadium with the race to follow. Beds will race two at a time for the distance of approximately two city blocks, and awards will be given at the end of the race in a variety of categories. In addition to the race, guests will also enjoy live music by Dan’s Tramp Stamp and The Money Bags, as well as food provided by local Charleston food trucks.
