Charleston’s largest pop-up beer festival, Charleston Beer Garden, returns to Brittlebank Park for the 3rd annual celebration of the suds next weekend on Saturday, May 17. Modernly inspired German biergartens will once again line the shores of the Ashley River, creating the perfect place to kick back with a beer under the shade of the oaks.
The festival features an impressive line-up of over thirty craft brews from the Palmetto state & beyond. The brewery line-up this year includes: Abita, Brooklyn, Crispin, Foothills, Holy City, Lagunitas, Leinenkugel, Lonerider, Oskar Blues, Palmetto, RJ Rockers, Sierra Nevada, Sweetwater, Terrapin, and Thomas Creek. All beers are available in 16oz mugs or 3oz samples. Have it your way!
Guests receive a commemorative festival mug, a few beer tickets to get started, and access to tons of included beer-friendly entertainment! Get your geek on at the Earth Fare Beer School to learn about reviewing beer, pairing food with beer, and getting started in home-brewing. Play Beer Olympics Games with your friends including a cornhole tournament with a top cash prize of $150. Hit up the Home-brewers Village to meet local home-brewers and sample their tasty home-brewed beer.
The festival features live music all day with performance from Atlas Road Crew, The Dunder Chiefs, Whiskey Diablo, Regina Ferguson, and New Galaxy.
