Carolina Nightlife Presents Halloween Howler Bar Crawl

Halloween is one of the biggest parties of the year; especially for zombies, vampires, ghosts and goblins. Each year tens of thousands of people in Charleston flock to bars and nightclubs around town showing off their creative, sexy, scary, or otherwise Halloween appropriate costume! This year come celebrate Halloween with the 8th Annual Halloween Howler Costume Bar Crawl at Wild Wing Cafe, Market Street Saloon, Wasabi, Tsunami, and Mac’s Place in Downtown Charleston, SC!

Tickets are $10 per person. Costumes are not mandatory, but encouraged.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Buy your ticket here on Eventbrite. Print off your receipt or keep the receipt email in your phone for us to scan at check-in.

2. Come to check-in at Wild Wing Cafe from 7pm-10pm at the CarolinaNightlife.com check-in booth. You will redeem your ticket for an event wristband.

3. Your event wristband will give you FREE NO LINE/NO COVER access to ALL the participating venues on the bar crawl. Your wristband will also get you great special drink prices at each bar. The schedule for the bar crawl will be distributed at check in.

4. Make sure to enter into the Costume Contests at each venue. Each venue will be hosting separate contests.

NOIR: A Dark Fashion Event by Charleston After Dark & ICEBOX BAR SERVICES will take place on Thursday, March 21st from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m at the upscale Five Four Nine venue located at 549 E Bay Street. Enjoy a fashion presentation by Emily Bargeron of Mamie Ruth and and eyewear designer to celebrities, Stevie Boi. There will be performances by Cato K & Tony Roach DjYnot & Jake Butler, Quiana Parler & Carmen Esteves. Dancefx will be on hand as well. Food Trucks will be stationed in the parking lot at the venue with plenty of great eats!

Home Team Kitchen and The Alley Now Open in Downtown Charleston

Home Team Kitchen and The Alley is now open in downtown Charleston at 131 Columbus St.

The Alley offers an entertainment experience unlike anything in the southeast. In addition to 8 lanes of retro bowling, the 16,870 sf warehouse features a 40 ft signature bar made of a reclaimed bowling lane, a 150 seat restaurant, a 1,900 sf mezzanine space with lounge area & a 17 ft bar, and outside seating. With food prepared by Home Team Kitchen, this place rocks and offers a new menu concept that changes the perception of typical bowling alley food. The chef-driven cuisine features made from scratch dishes using local product with a focus on comfort foods and American classics. The Alley is an incredible place to watch any sporting event. There are two 160” projection screens in the restaurant space along with multiple TV’s throughout. They also have a 10ft basketball goal, a ping-pong table, two Skee-Ball machines, 2 pinball machines, & 12 vintage arcade games.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend their grand opening party and can say this place is going to be one of the hottest things in Charleston for years to come! The Studio 300 retro disco party supported The Be A Mentor Program and even actor and local resident Bill Murray showed up to add to the excitement! Entropy Arts & American College of Building Arts are proud to present JAIL BREAK 2 on Saturday, November 12th from noon-11pm at the Old City Jail at 21 Magazine St in downtown Charleston. An all encompassing arts festival established to provide an outlet for local artists to present their work, JAIL BREAK 2 will be held at one of the most unique venues in downtown Charleston where the jail will be converted into a gallery, displaying works by local visual artists and students from the ACBA as well as music and dance instillations from Dancefx Charleston and Annex Dance Company. Additionally, interactive festivities such as live painting, arts and crafts, demonstrations of various building arts by ACBA students and artisan booths will be outside in the main yard of the former jail.

“I started Entropy Arts to focus on presenting innovative performing arts events that showcase collaboration between artists of different mediums including music, dance, visual art, writing, filmmaking and more,” stated festival organizer Andrew Walker. “It was a natural step to host an arts festival where diverse artists and audiences could come together to celebrate the arts.

Musical performances include The Hungry Monks, The Brillers, Weigh Station, Elise Testone and The Freeloaders, Shovels & Rope, Entropy Ensemble and more. Food provided by Home Team BBQ and beverages from Ice Box Innovative Beverage Services will also be available throughout the festival. Additionally, there will be an after party at LEAF, located at 15 Beaufain with music by Ryan Bonner and Friends. The after party event is FREE with a Jail Break ticket stub. JAIL BREAK 2 is the perfect experience for all Charlestonians to admire Lowcountry talent, purchase artwork and talk with the artists directly while being really close to the stage for performances. This is an all ages event and artists are subject to change without notice.

Where’s Waldo Sunday FunDay Bar Crawl

Carolina Nightlife presents a Sunday FunDay Bar Crawl on King Street as they go for the Guinness Book of World Record for the ‘Most People Dressed as Where’s Waldo in one place’. Waldo Character Costumes (Waldo or Wanda) are mandatory in order to break the record. Costume contests will include Best Wanda, Best Couple and Best Waldo.

Check-in is at Marion Square at 12 pm where crawlers will pick up tickets for free VIP access to all participating bars on the crawl that include Boone’s, Tasty Thai, King St. Grille, Mellow Mushroom, Kickin’ Chicken and Upper Deck. Tickets are $12 in advance at www.whereswaldochs.eventbrite.com or $15 at the door.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Ronald McDonald House and souvenir flip books will be available through Flip Flixx.

This is a costume mandatory Halloween Bar Crawl in Charleston’s historic downtown nightlife! Registration and check-in will be at The Bling Tiger from 7pm-830pm. BE EARLY! The bar crawl will leave promptly at 830pm.

From The Blind Tiger the bar crawl with 100 costume clad partiers will bar hop to the following bars:
