Palmetto Brewgrass Festival

palThe Awendaw Green family and Palmetto Brewery are teaming up to present a two-day bluegrass festival on May 6-8. The weekend, in support of the local music scene and for the love of all things beer and bluegrass, will begin on Friday with a special show featuring Mike Farris, Kim Richey, and Brian Ashley Jones at Charleston Music Hall. The Bluegrass festival will kick off on Saturday and Sunday at 1pm at  Palmetto Brewery bringing together more than a dozen regionally acclaimed country bluegrass bands and artists. Festivalgoers will enjoy up-tempo and energetic bluegrass music, delicious Palmetto beer and multiple food-trucks. The Festival will feature performances by Southbound 17, Chewbacky, Pinkerton and the Brinks, Dallas Baker and Friends, Southern Flavor Bluegrass, John Stickley Trio, Love Canon, Cane Creek String Band, Triangle Bluegrass, Red Cedar Review, Forlorn Strangers Della Mae and Gravel Road Acoustic.

“Palmetto Brewery is like the front porch of downtown Charleston. All kinds of people from all parts of the city gather on that porch to have a good time,” said Awendaw Green’s organizer Eddie White. “The Brewgrass Festival is us inviting a bunch of insanely awesome bluegrass musicians up on that porch to do what they do best. It’s gonna have all of the excitement of a festival, with the feel-good vibes of a house show where the beer is better.”

Early Bird tickets are on sale during April at $15/day and $25/two days. In May, tickets will be on sale for $20/day and $35/two days. Tickets are available online here.
