Share Our Suzy Presents the 10th Annual Memorial Day Weekend Party with Indecision and Five Way Friday on Saturday, May 25th at Waterfront Park in Mount Pleasant. Tickets are $35 in advance or $50 on day of show. The food will be catered by Home Team BBQ and adult beverages are included in price of admission. Doors open at 5:30pm with Five Way Friday from 6:00pm – 7:30pm and Indecision from 8:00pm – 10:30pm.

100% of net proceeds for this event will directly benefit South Carolina breast cancer patients and their families by providing assistance to ease their journey from diagnosis to recovery. South Carolina Dental Association Names Dr. McKenzie Woodard New Dentist of the Year

McKenzie WoodardDr. McKenzie Woodard of Wentworth Street Dental Associates was honored with the 2014 New Dentist award at the South Carolina Dental Association’s Annual Session held last week in Myrtle Beach. All nominees consisted of members of the SCDA who have been in practice ten years or less or who and under forty years of age. Dr. McKenzie Woodard was chosen as she demonstrated leadership qualities through service to dentistry.

Outside“After working at other dental offices, I knew I wanted my own practice, which I purchased in December,” said Dr. McKenzie Woodard of Wentworth Street Dental Associates. “This makes it even more special and an honor to win this award with my own practice as well as be recognized by the South Carolina Dental Association.”

Dr. Woodard completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth University after attending Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree. Prior to purchasing Wentworth Street Dental Associates, she was a dentist with Commonwealth Dentistry in Richmond. Dr. Woodard is a member of nationally renowned organizations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of General Dentistry as well as the American Dental Association and South Carolina Dental Association.

3nd Annual Charleston Beer Festival

Modernly inspired German biergartens will once again line the shores of the Ashley River, creating the perfect place to kick back with a beer under the shade of the oaks.

The festival features an impressive line-up of over thirty craft brews from the Palmetto state & beyond. The brewery line-up this year includes: Abita, Brooklyn, Crispin, Foothills, Holy City, Lagunitas, Leinenkugel, Lonerider, Oskar Blues, Palmetto, RJ Rockers, Sierra Nevada, Sweetwater, Terrapin, and Thomas Creek. All beers are available in 16oz mugs or 3oz samples. Have it your way!

Guests receive a commemorative festival mug, a few beer tickets to get started, and access to tons of included beer-friendly entertainment! Get your geek on at the Earth Fare Beer School to learn about reviewing beer, pairing food with beer, and getting started in home-brewing. Play Beer Olympics Games with your friends including a cornhole tournament with a top cash prize of $150. Hit up the Home-brewers Village to meet local home-brewers and sample their tasty home-brewed beer.

The festival features live music all day with performance from Atlas Road Crew, The Dunder Chiefs, Whiskey Diablo, Regina Ferguson, and New Galaxy.
