Each 60-minute workout consists of short but intense blocks on state-of-the-art treadmills alternating with challenging full-body strength intervals. BLAST900′s highly trained instructors provide an all ages and levels workout where everyone can train at their own pace as a walker, jogger or runner. BLAST900 is now offering adjusted pricing to include unlimited options as well as new innovative fitness professionals. First time clients are invited to try BLAST900 anytime as the initial class is complimentary.

“I worked with qualified instructors and nutritionists to design a nutrition and interval training exercise program alternating high and relatively low intensity exercise that is a very effective method for getting results,” said BLAST900 Founder Missi Wolf. ”This kind of workout shocks the body out of its comfort zone and has participants continually burning calories for the next 24 hours.”

Grass in the Hall

March 1st at the Charleston Music Hall

7:30 The BAREFOOT MOVEMENT
8:30 CUMBERLAND RIVER
10:00 TOWN MOUNTAIN

This is a kick off event for the Sweet Grass Music Festival on March 16 and The Charleston Bluegrass Festival on April 5 & 6.

Tickets $10 at eTix, $12 at door

TOWN MOUNTAIN: This Asheville, NC Bluegrass band finds themselves becoming one of the preeminent torchbearers of their craft, facing a promising future. “Centered around strong, soulful vocals, and poised to stay put,” says Woody Platt of the Steep Canyon Rangers, “Town Mountain are true to bluegrass in all the right ways and this new project keeps them firmly connected to the traditions of the genre, while also allowing them to reach out into the broad horizon of string band music. Leave the Bottle comes highly recommended.” Always contributing to the evolution of the bluegrass form, they toss influences as varied as surf-rock, gospel, and honky-tonk country into their field of play.

CUMBERLAND RIVER: This band’s roots have run deep in the Harlan County Kentucky hills for generations. Even with the band’s progressive sound, you can still hear the heritage of traditional bluegrass music in their songs. Watch FX Network’s TV show JUSTIFIED to hear their music.

THE BAREFOOT MOVEMENT: This quartet of immensely talented musicians are from North & South Carolina and Tennessee whose music successfully melds Americana influences with the invigoration of acoustic modern rock and jazz. Their sound simultaneously captures the rustic beauty of old Southern front porch Bluegrass improvisation while being immediately accessible to the modern era.

Home Team BBQ Lowcountry Blues Schedule

Posted in Sales & Events with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 5, 2013 by Lowcountry Boil

Home Team BBQ has built its brand on blues, bluegrass, and Americana/rock/country.  They have always honored the blues with a heavy rotation during the Lowcountry Blues Bash and was certainly disappointed that the long-running Charleston staple went on hiatus this year.  We all certainly hope Gary Erwin could revive his event for the future. Nevertheless, at Home Team BBQs, those first two weekends in February will always be ‘Blues Bash’.
